Instructions for installing Vault Professional are
available at the SourceGear support website at sourcegear.com/vaultpro/documentation/install/. Note: to support
the new Find in Files and Notification Services, Vault Professional
Version 6 will install two new databases, sgnotify and sgvaultindex, and two new web
services, VaultIndexService and VaultNotifyService.
During the installation, the Vault Installer will:
Create the VaultService directory on the local hard drive.
Create the sgvault, sgdragnet, sgnotify and sgvaultindex and sgmaster databases in SQL Server.
Create the VaultService, VaultShadowFolder, VaultPro, VaultIndexService, VaultNotifyService and SGDav (VaultWebDAV) virtual directories in IIS and their corresponding folders under the IIS webroot.
Find in Files.indexing can be turned on in the Admin Web Client under Repository options.
To allow email notifications, configure your mail server information in Email Settings. Specific Notification settings are configured by the user in Vault Professional Client options.
